The Company

Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a fast growing, FMCG business in South Manchester who're looking to add an ambitious Transactional Finance leader to their growing finance team. This role will sit over both AP & AR, reporting into the Head of Finance.

Salary - Circa £45,000

Location - South Manchester

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of credit controllers and accounts payable colleagues.
  • Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance management to ensure team success.
  • Focus on minimising aged debt while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Full communication with external sales executives, generating any necessary credit reviews.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording, reporting, ledger balances, and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align credit policies with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Oversee the accounts payable processes, monitoring cash flow implications and work closely with the finance team to optimise payment schedules.
Person Specification
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • Proven experience in credit control, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Experience or awareness of Accounts Payable processes advantageous.
  • Strong communicator at all levels.
  • Strong Excel skills
