A leading defense contractor in Portsmouth is seeking a TRAM Electrical Engineer Manager to lead a team responsible for the electrical safety and performance of torpedo systems. Up to £70,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

This role provides the opportunity to manage a small team of professional engineers responsible for all the electrical safety, performance and reliability aspects of the Spearfish heavyweight torpedo, which is in service with the RN. The primary responsibility of managing the requirements of the current in‑service support contract is supplemented with the opportunity to support other Maritime torpedo projects, both in the UK and overseas.

This role is subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must achieve at least Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
