A prominent healthcare organization is seeking an Education Lead to support the Postgraduate Dean and Training Program Director. The role will involve leading regional educational content in Otolaryngology, organising training events, and liaising with various hospital sites. Candidates should possess a primary clinical healthcare qualification and experience in educational leadership. This position offers part-time working with a contract duration of 14 months.
The role of the Education Lead is to work with and support the Postgraduate Dean and Training Program Director (TPD) in leading and delivering regional educational content in line with the current curriculum set out by the JCHST in Otolaryngology.
The Otolaryngology (ENT) Education Lead is a member of the Speciality Training Committee (STC) who is managerially responsible to the Postgraduate Dean for the delivery of training in that speciality according to the standards set by the GMC and the Royal College of Surgeons.
The role includes organising and coordinating the regional teaching and training programme to enhance curriculum delivery. This involves arranging speakers, uploading approved educational content to the new PGVLE website, and collecting and reviewing feedback. The postholder will liaise with and delegate responsibilities to appropriate hospital sites for educational training camps, maintain accurate records of all regional educational events and courses (including dissection courses), and present updates and feedback at the STC meetings twice yearly.
