A local government authority in Hull is seeking a Training and Brief Intervention Practitioner to deliver drug and alcohol awareness training and educational sessions for young people. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning educational sessions and knowledge of substance misuse. This role emphasizes community engagement and support for vulnerable individuals, offering a vital service in early intervention and awareness for the youth.
An exciting opportunity to join the ReFRESH, Young Peoples Substance Misuse Service as a Training and Brief Intervention Practitioner. You will organise and deliver drug and alcohol awareness training, screening and brief intervention training, as well as other bespoke training to the CYPFS workforce to increase awareness, knowledge and confidence around drugs and alcohol. You will also organise and deliver education-based group sessions with young people aged from 11 through to young adulthood, delivering engaging and educational sessions with the goal of early intervention and identification of those who need further support. You will seek opportunities to expand the role and be involved in community-based events to increase the reach of the ReFRESH service.
