About therole:

We are currently seeking a passionate andenthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainer/Tutor withcompetencies in teaching a variety of Health and Safety courses, basic construction, firstaid courses, and other similar short business relatablecourses.

NPT Skills & Training Unit operatewithin Neath Port Talbot and across South Wales, delivering avariety of training programmes and are constantly developingtheir training provision and contracts.

The post holder will be funded for 1 yearfrom commencement of post, to support a new project/initiativewithin the Skills & Training unit, to develop its businessservices. Therefore, the post holder will pay a crucial role indeveloping the project/initiative and supporting it tosucceed.

As a Trainer/Tutor for theproject/initiative, you will be required complete CPD and/ortrain/gain qualifications to be able to deliver courses andqualifications for Skills & Training. You will devise/designall related course materials and curriculum and deliver these toour learners for them to achieve/gain accredited ornon-accredited qualifications/courses.

Your daily routine will require you to:

• Design and deliver appropriate learningmaterials and resources to support new and establishedaccredited course/qualifications delivered at Skills andTraining.
• To deliver and assess a wide range oftraining courses, accredited and non-accredited qualificationsto various groups of both adults, young people aged 16-24 andschool pupils.
• To register, invigilate requires testsand assessments for qualifications, meeting awarding bodyguidelines. To use IT systems to complete and administer thetesting process.
• Maintain, update and completeappropriate documentation including, learning plans, learnerassessment, data forms/information, relevant examination bodiesdocumentation and others as required.
• Organise and deliver courses asrequired.
• To ensure targets set by Skills andTraining are met.

Aboutyou:

You will need to have previous experienceat designing and delivering training/tutoring, in particulardelivering accredited qualifications, with a wide age range fromschool pupils up to adult learners. You should also be aware ofthe barriers faced by different age groups and be able toovercome these with your learners. You should also haveexcellent customer facing/verbal/written communication skills.Due to the courses that we intend to deliver, experience withinConstruction, health and safety sectors is essential.

Do you have:

• Possess Further Education TeachingCertificate or equivalent (such as PGCE/PTTLS/Level 3/cert edetc)
• A Health and Safety/constructionqualification
• First Aid qualifications or experienceas a first aider
• GCSE (or equivalent/higher) in Maths andEnglish grade C and above/Level 2
• Be in possession of, or working towardsA1 and V1 awards/ TAQA and or verifier awards orequivalent
