A leading aerospace manufacturing company in Redditch is seeking a Trainee Toolmaker. In this role, you will receive training in manual milling, grinding, and turning while completing the manufacturing processes of products. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and be comfortable in a hands-on environment. The position offers a competitive salary range of £33,000 to £35,000 annually and numerous benefits including a retirement plan and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 standard in a relevant engineering subject (Mechanical / Aerospace) or equivalent.
  • Ability to be in a 'hands on' environment and ideally have some previous experience in toolroom environment.
  • Understanding Engineering Drawings and be able to react to manufacturing processes.

Position: Trainee Toolmaker

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire

Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

Salary: £33000 to £35000 per annum

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and on Fridays 7:00 am to midday

My client, a driving force in the aerospace manufacturing industry are on the hunt for a Trainee Toolmaker to come in and join the team!

Responsibilities
  • In this role you will be trained on manual milling, manual grinding and turning. This includes completing the manufacturing and assembly process of products through reading engineering drawings and utilising all tools.
Experience or Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 standard in a relevant engineering subject (Mechanical / Aerospace) or equivalent
  • Ability to be in a “hands on” environment and ideally have some previous experience in toolroom environment.
  • Understanding Engineering Drawings and be able to react to manufacturing processes
