Job summary

A leading engineering services firm in the UK is seeking a Trainee Technical Clerk to provide administrative and clerical support. Responsibilities include data management in SAP and monitoring inspections. Ideal candidates will possess NVQ Level 3 Engineering or equivalent, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented approach. This position offers a fixed-term contract of 6 months with 22.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support.
  • Acquire anomalies data and update registers.

  • Provide assistance to the Asset Integrity Team.

Overview

Position: Trainee Technical Clerk

Date: 21 Sept 2025

Location: Middlesbrough

Hours per week: 22.5 hours (over 3 days)

Contract: Fixed term (Initially 6 months)

Responsibilities
  • Provides administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations within the technical and engineering department.
  • Acquire anomalies data from the Plant Condition Management System (PCMS) and update the Mechanical and Civil Anomalies Registers
  • Raise requests in SAP for repairs/maintenance/further inspections
  • Create change requests in SAP for planned maintenance activities (dates/frequencies/addition/removal)
  • Monitoring the Master Vessel Register to track and highlight overdue inspections to the Inspections Team Lead
  • Attend meetings as dictated by the inspection requirements
  • Provide support and assistance for the on-site Asset Integrity Team as required
