Overview

Graduate / Trainee Quantity Surveyor, Buckinghamshire
Up to £30,000 plus benefits

This leading interiors specialist sub-contractor in London, offering the complete design, supply and installation of internal glass, partitions ceilings and associated packages, is looking to expand their commercial team, with a trainee level Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior QS in the team and then the Commercial Manager, your role will be to assist the project team with commercial functions on a number of current prestigious projects. Duties will include:

  • assisting in all aspects of the financial control of the project
  • valuations
  • measurements
  • cost reports
  • attending meetings
  • ensuring that adequate cost monitoring and management is undertaken
  • co-ordinate and agree the production of final accounts with various parties
  • ensure that project approvals and completions can be obtained at the required times
Required Attributes and Experience

The ideal Trainee Quantity Surveyor will have graduated with a degree and perhaps gained a little practical experience within a suitable specialist sub-contractor and preferably with experience of glass and partitions and other sub contract packages. Quantity Surveyors who have worked with main contractors or other specialist sub-contractors will be considered if they are an adapt and capable Quantity Surveyor keen to gain experience in a new discipline or working with a specialist sub-contractor on large build projects.

You will have a focused attitude, and excellent communication skills and must be able to work as part of a team and possess a high level of motivation. Ideally you will also have an HND or equivalent qualification.
The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and can go beyond the stated level above for first class individuals. Bonus and additional benefits also make up the package. The group are a recognised performer in industry within the sector in which they operate.
