Responsibilities

  • Assist with radiographic inspection activities alongside qualified technicians.
  • Help set up equipment, prepare components, and process digital or film radiographs.
  • Follow strict safety procedures in line with internal radiation protection rules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support calibration and traceability tasks.
  • Contribute to a strong safety and quality culture.

Pertempsare recruiting for a Trainee NDT Technician on behalf of a leading testing company in the Dudley area. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a long-term career in Non-Destructive Testing within an accredited environment. You will receive full training and development toward recognised certifications while supporting inspections on high-precision casting components.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with radiographic inspection activities alongside qualified Level 1 and 2 technicians
  • Help set up equipment, prepare components, and process digital or film radiographs
  • Follow strict safety procedures in line with internal radiation protection rules
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support calibration and traceability tasks
  • Contribute to a strong safety and quality culture
Skills & Qualifications
  • Interest in engineering, aerospace, manufacturing or NDT

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Hours of work

Rotating shift pattern

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, rotating to:
  • Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm
Salary

£25,000, with view to increase once certified
