Overview

Trainee Machine Operator - TEMP TO PERM

Location: Headcorn

Working Hours: rotating shift (Monday to Friday)

Week 1: 7am - 3pm

Week 2: 3pm - 11pm

Salary: £13.00 per hour PAYE

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor food packing machinery in line with training and company procedures.
  • Complete daily paperwork and production records accurately.
  • Follow food hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times.
  • Carry out cleaning and maintenance of machinery and work areas as instructed.
  • Work flexibly across different departments as required (e.g., packing, warehouse, production).
  • Report any issues with equipment or processes to supervisors promptly.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to a safe, efficient, and positive working environment.
Requirements
  • Good level of spoken and written English (essential for paperwork and communication).
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and willingness to undertake further training.
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to work across different departments.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
  • Needs to be able to work in cold environments ( 4-6 degrees).
Desirable (Training Provided if Needed)
  • Previous experience in a food production or packing environment.
  • Experience operating machinery.
  • Understanding of health & safety in a food handling environment.
Additional Information

Due to our client location candidates will need to have access to a vehicle as not accessible by public transport.
