Trainee Liability Claims Adjuster

This is an opportunity to develop expertise in liability claims through a trainee position. You will gain hands‑on experience managing a broad portfolio of liability claims, working alongside highly qualified and experienced Liability Adjusters from investigation through to settlement.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the team, you will assist with both new and ongoing claims by:

  • Preparing case management plans and liaising with key stakeholders (insured, insurers/brokers, reinsurers) to ensure timely and professional claim resolution.
  • Participating in complex discussions on cause of loss and communicating findings clearly to insurers.
  • Attending site visits to investigate liability and quantum matters.
  • Preparing reports and presentations covering all aspects of claims from instruction to settlement.
  • Collating and analyzing management information for internal and external distribution.
  • Producing reports in compliance with professional standards, internal guidelines, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Supporting marketing and business development activities across the region.
  • Guiding and instructing surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists, accountants, and other experts as your experience grows.
  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders, approving interim payments, and preparing interim reports.
  • Calculating and recommending claim settlements and preparing final reports.
  • Reviewing timesheets against budgets.
  • Undertaking ad hoc duties as allocated by management.
