Overview

Job Title: Fabric Cutting Trainee

Location: South Way, Andover

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm, Friday 7am - 3pm

Starting Pay: £13.00 per hour

We are looking for a motivated Fabric Cutting Trainee to join our skilled team based in South Way, Andover. In this role, you will learn the art of fabric cutting from experienced craftsmen, gaining hands-on experience in folding and cutting various fabrics to create panels using electric cutters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn to select and use templates based on the size and shape of fabric parts.
  • Assist with folding and cutting fabric accurately to produce high-quality panels.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition by following operating instructions and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and clean work environment by adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Support unloading and storage of textiles and components.
  • Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to develop your skills.
  • Assist in general production tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ideally suited to someone with a craft or technology background and experience in making things.
  • Literate and numerate, preferably with GCSE qualifications or equivalent.
  • Eager to learn and develop professionally in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a small, friendly team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially regarding colour and fabric quality.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, which can be quite demanding.
