A leading catering company in Shrewsbury is seeking a Trainee Chef to join their vibrant team. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with opportunities for training and clear career progression. Reports To: Head Chef
Employment Start Date: 5th January 2026
Salary: £26,208 per annum

As a Trainee Chef, you’ll support our catering team in preparing and serving meals for guests and staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start or develop a career in catering and hospitality, gaining hands‑on experience in a busy professional kitchen environment.
You’ll work closely with our Head Chef and the wider JCA catering team to ensure every meal is prepared safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
As a Trainee Chef, you’ll have a clear development route to becoming a chef through Wilson Vale’s Craft Works pathway – an exciting training and mentoring program designed to grow culinary talent.
You’ll receive ongoing support and training from experienced chefs, gaining the knowledge and confidence needed to progress into a Chef position at Condover Hall or within the wider Wilson Vale and JCA network.
