About Us

We are a friendly, lively community pub in the heart of Bridgnorth, serving locals and visitors throughout the week with our peak trade at weekends. We’re looking for someone eager to grow into a leadership role and become a key part of our close-knit team.

Role Overview

This permanent role is ideal for someone with solid bar experience who wants to take the next step into management. As a Trainee Bar Manager, you’ll learn all aspects of running the bar through hands‑on experience, supported by the Bar Manager and backed up with external training resources when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day‑to‑day running of the bar in a busy community setting
  • Take part in opening and closing procedures
  • Support stock management, including ordering, rotation and waste control
  • Handle cashing‑up, till reconciliation and banking
  • Contribute to maintaining licensing, food hygiene, and health & safety compliance
  • Supervise bar staff during shifts and help set a positive example
  • Take part in staff scheduling when required
  • Support new team members with training and standards
  • Work collaboratively with the Bar Manager and Kitchen Manager
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous bar experience (management experience not required)
  • Hard‑working, enthusiastic attitude
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Comfortable working busy weekend shifts
  • Interest in leadership, organisation, or customer service development
