A leading manufacturer of ballet footwear based in Earl Shilton is seeking a Ballet Pointe Shoe Socker/Factory Operative. This full-time role involves trimming, gluing, and assembling parts of pointe shoes. Full training will be provided, and candidates should have strong manual skills, reliability, and a desire to learn. The position offers permanent employment with structured working hours from Monday to Friday, promoting a hands-on approach to craftsmanship in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Trim loose threads around binding and insoles of Pointe shoes.
• Scrape excess paste out of the shoe and around the insole.
• Cover gaps with the correct sock linings.
• Glue in sock liners to create the finished Pointe shoe.
• Work with small hand tools such as embroidery scissors, knives, and hammers.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, hitting targets.

Ballet Pointe Shoe Socker/Factory Operative – Full Training Provided

Location: Earl Shilton, Leicestershire LE9 7HS

Hours: 39 hours per week (permanent)

Pay: National Minimum/Living Wage (age 21+)

This job position focuses on Socking, with progression in the future to learn various other job roles within the factory.

What You’ll Do

• Trim loose threads around Binding and insoles of Pointe shoes.
