Job description

We are looking for an experienced boatbuilder/marine joiner to join our small friendly team at A A Coombes Ltd in Bembridge. The position is offered on a part time, self-employed basis. We are a busy boatyard with year round activity, repairing and maintaining all types of boats and building fibreglass dinghies.

Job Description:
  • Repair and restoration of timber boats
  • Internal and external marine joinery
  • Inboard engine installation
  • Mast and spar construction
  • Painting and varnishing
  • Yard maintenance
Requirements:
  • Previous marine joinery experience
  • Experience using and maintaining all relevant woodwork tools and machinery
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety requirements
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
  • Able to work as part of a small team
  • Comfortable interacting with customers
  • Have a practical, enthusiastic and cheerful approach to all challenges
  • Full driving licence
