Overview

Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for a wide range of properties across Sanctuary organisations. Location Leeds - covering West Yorkshire

Salary £33,049 - £34,788 per year

Hours 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Trade Operative - Plaster to join our day to day team based in West Yorkshire. You will work on properties across the region in both new and old stock. It would be beneficial to have experience in joinery, plumbing, tiling and painting. The role will occasionally involve lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as required. With a company van and tools included the role will cover sites across West Yorkshire.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out all aspects of plastering and mould washing
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocked when needed
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery by resolving problems or initiating the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
  • Taking part in our call rota
Skills and qualifications
  • To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates must be qualified to NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in core subject. NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is core, Unvented - G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring original certification verifying proof of qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Good communication and customer care skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads
  • This role will involve driving on company business. A full valid UK driving licence is required to drive a company vehicle
