A leading global company in Greater London is seeking a Sales Assistant to ensure exemplary customer service at the Trade Counter. Responsibilities include processing sales orders, providing technical advice, and managing payments. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of sales experience, strong communication skills, and a readiness to learn about products. Our Trade Counter Sales Assistants work towards providing the best customer experience for our clients whilst also growing their knowledge about the large range of products we offer. This is to ensure that the customer gets what they want every time. As a Sales Assistant based in our Walthamstow office you will be the first point of contact for our customers whether this be over the phone face to face or via email.
Responsibilities will include the processing sales orders ensuring that the details are accurate so that the customer gets what they need every time. You will provide customers with quotations as well as offering technical advice to customers about different products we stock. So you need to be happy to learn and develop knowledge about the mechanical products we supply. Lastly you will process payments and organising returns or exchanges for the customer as well as contacting suppliers to chase orders prices and product availability.
As part of this close knit team there will also be a requirement to support the warehouse during busy / holiday periods so we need someone who is a real team player who will always be happy to help whether it be internal or external customers.
Hours of work: 07:30‑16:30 Mon‑Thurs / 07:30‑15:00 Friday
