If you enjoy dealing with customers and making delivery services run like clockwork, this could be a great move. Office-based. 8 to 5. Monday to Friday.

The HVAC industry may not sound terribly glamorous, but it's growing at a vast rate as its green technology replaces carbon‑heavy oil and gas heating systems.

My client's one of the leading HVAC distributors and they're now looking for a new team member to make sure they deliver products on‑time to happy customers.

It's an excellent move if you're looking for an interesting, varied job, working with a friendly, established company that's going places.

Responsibilities

Part customer relations, part logistics

The company's customers are mostly tradespeople. They place their orders and expect the necessary kit to turn up at the right time and place, so they can get the job done.

You’ll be ensuring this happens, following up on deliveries by phone and acting quickly to solve any problems, such as missing pieces or billing queries.

The role's branch based, as you'll be working closely with colleagues in accounts, order processing, logistics and tech support to iron out any issues.

Alongside this, you'll be building relationships with customers, who rate the company's products and rely on fast, efficient support.

You’ll also be serving customers on the trade counter.

Administrator? Coordinator? Diplomat?

It would be totally ideal if you've worked in a company or branch that supplies trade customers, maybe on the counter, in the back office or in the warehouse.

You’ll understand the pressures trade customers are under and you'll be great at earning their trust and working with others to get any problems resolved.

Qualifications

HVAC experience isn't necessary. This isn't a technical role and if things head that way there's a tech support team on hand to take over.

And just finally, you should have good basic IT skills, a decent standard of numeracy and literacy, and a cool, calm telephone manner.
