Overview

Towpath taskforce roles offer a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

There are no formal skills required and you have the chance to volunteer across lots of unique and beautiful environments.

Come and join the Aylesbury Arm Towpath Taskforce. This is an existing Taskforce group for the area. We cover a variety of activities such as vegetation management, towpath improvement, lock painting and much more. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support.

Our activities take place once a month at different locations along the Aylesbury Arm, from Marsworth to central Aylesbury just off of the Grand Union Canal on the third Saturday of every month from 10:00 to 14:00.

Once signed up, you will receive briefings as to where the sessions will take place. In addition, you will also be notified of any other sessions that may be planned.

  • Volunteering as part of a team, you might be helping with vegetation management, planting, painting, litter picking or many other tasks
