Town Planner & Senior Planner - Planning Consultancy

Location: Cardiff (Flexible working: 4 days studio / 1 day home)

Salary: £28,000pa - £45,000pa - plus extensive benefits

Our client is key to the placemaking process in South Wales, the South West and beyond. They combine planning expertise with landscape, urban design, and ecological knowledge to deliver thoughtful, practical solutions.

Their work spans new homes and neighbourhoods, hospitals and health centres, schools and colleges, urban regeneration, and energy sector transformation.

The Role

We are seeking a Planning Consultant & Senior Planner to join our clients growing team and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects. You will be involved in:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications (all types)
  • Local Development Plan (LDP) representations
  • Expert witness work
  • Developing planning guidance and strategies
  • Community and stakeholder engagement
  • Handling appeals and discharge of conditions
  • Conservation and listed building consents
  • Site appraisals and feasibility studies

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects deliver positive outcomes for communities and clients alike.

Who We're Looking To Hear From

You will have a planning qualification (or similar) and hold pre-existing planning experience from either the public or private sectors.
