Chartered Town Planner - Remote (UK-wide)

I'm currently working on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking planning consultancy that is looking to appoint a Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) as part of its continued growth. This is a fully remote role, offering genuine flexibility while working on a diverse and engaging project portfolio across the UK.

The Opportunity

This role would suit a planner who is confident operating autonomously, enjoys responsibility, and values flexibility without compromising on the quality or complexity of work. You'll be joining a collaborative, digitally driven consultancy environment where expertise is trusted and professional judgement is valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a range of planning projects from inception through to determination
  • Preparing, submitting, and negotiating planning applications and appeals
  • Providing clear, commercial planning advice to clients
  • Engaging with local planning authorities and key stakeholders
  • Contributing to planning strategies and development appraisals
  • Supporting junior team members where appropriate
Candidate Profile
  • MRTPI Chartered Town Planner
  • Strong experience within UK town planning (public or private sector background welcomed)
  • Confident managing projects independently in a remote setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercially aware with a client-focused mindset
  • Comfortable using digital tools and working collaboratively online
