Based in Rochdale, our client specializes in the design and manufacture of moulds and dies for the plastics, rubber, and diecasting industries.

Job description

The role of Toolmaker includes the following duties:

  • Programming, setting & operating 3/4 axis milling machines, using Haas controls and/or 3-axis milling machines with Siemens controls.
  • Setting and operating conventional milling, turning, and grinding machines.
  • Deburring.
  • Using basic inspection equipment.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC turning & milling machines.
  • Have experience with conventional machinery.
  • Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • An engineering apprenticeship is preferred, but experience is the overriding factor.
  • Be flexible to work overtime or additional hours depending on workload.
  • Work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Produce high-quality work to fine tolerances.
  • Maintain a professional and self-motivated attitude.
  • Have good organizational and time management skills.
  • Enjoy 33 days including overtime, pension, and plenty of overtime opportunities.
