Job description
Summary of Position

Manufacture injection mould tooling to engineering drawings and keep existing tooling running as the business requires. Build, repair, develop and maintain tooling to tolerances, identifying tooling improvements to aid production and increase productivity.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Manufacture new tooling to required specification using drawings and CAD.
  2. Attend design review meetings and implement outcomes as required.
  3. Repair and modify existing tooling prioritising breakdowns and minimising downtime.
  4. Preventative maintenance, repair, and modification of tooling – surface grinding, manual milling & turning.
  5. Assess the life of tooling and order any new parts or make new parts if they need replacing.
  6. Carry out general day‑to‑day administration tasks and update relevant systems.
  7. Document all work, repairs or modifications carried out on moulds on‑site.
  8. Liaise with the shop floor regarding day‑to‑day work, working to maximise efficiencies and outputs.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Skills
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacture of injection mould tooling.
  • Mechanical Apprenticeship.
  • Conversant with Cimatron, CMM measuring.
  • Familiar with use of 3D CAD software.
  • Competent in the professional use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • GCSE Maths and English.
