Job summary

A construction company is seeking a Tiler (Trades and Labour) in Oldham. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, measuring and planning tile layouts, cutting and fitting tiles, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Wall and Floor Tiling and experience in tiling projects. Role Details

Role: Tiler (Trades and Labour)
Pay Rate: £26-28 Umbrella
Contract Type: 3 Months Contract
Location: Oldham OL9
Shift Timing: Monday-Friday 37.50 Hours Per Week

Responsibilities

• Preparation: Cleaning, levelling, repairing surfaces, removing old tiles/grout, and applying waterproof membranes.
• Layout & Design: Measuring areas, interpreting drawings, and planning tile layouts for precision and symmetry.
• Cutting & Fitting: Cutting tiles accurately around corners, edges, and fixtures using specialist tools.
• Installation: Applying adhesive and setting tiles with correct alignment and spacing.
• Finishing: Grouting, sealing, and ensuring a clean, high‑quality finish.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Wall and Floor Tiling.
• Proven experience in commercial or domestic tiling projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of health & safety standards on‑site.
