Job summary

A UK-based recruitment agency is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a temporary to permanent position in Swansea. The ideal candidate will have extensive stainless steel TIG welding experience, including skills with thin wall tubing and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. This role offers 37.75 hours per week with competitive pay and opportunities for growth in a stable environment. Candidates with hygienic pipework experience will have an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Qualified and/or time-served TIG Welding experience required.
  • Experience with thin wall 1.6mm - 5mm stainless tube and plate is preferred.
  • Willingness to work on-site is advantageous.

Job description

Role: TIG Welder

Pay: £17/hour. Weekly pay.

Location: Swansea, SA4 area

Duration: Temporary to Permanent position.

Hours: 37.75 hrs/week (Monday-Thursday 08.00 - 16.30 & Friday 08.00 - 14:15).

JDR are working with a specialist manufacturer with customers in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, dairy, chemical, cosmetic and toiletries industries. This exciting TIG Welder opportunity will mean you are joining a growing company with the objective to be number one in its market.

Key skills needed:
  • Experienced stainless‑steel TIG Welder (qualified and/or time‑served), ideally experienced with thin wall 1.6mm - 5mm stainless tube and plate.
  • Must have extensive TIG stainless steel welding experience, including purge pipe welding.
  • Must be able to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience of hygienic pipework would be an advantage.
  • Site work experience and the willingness to work on‑site would be an advantage.
