My client is currently seeking a skilled Welder to join their specialist team. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in TIG welding with various materials including aluminium
TIG Welder Job Overview
- Work in accordance with legislative and company requirements for Health Safety and the Environment.
- Use TIG welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, to meet defined production schedules.
- Preparation and setup of tools and equipment in support of the welding activity.
- Preparation of parts for welding.
- Manufacture parts using jigs and fixtures and working to information contained within the works orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure correct operation and continuous improvement of both process and product.
- Support Works order and process tracking via shop floor data capture systems and the company wide ERP system.
- Operation of basic tube manipulation and fabrication equipment (once training complete) as required.
- Review of finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy reporting issues via the Quality Assurance team.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Production Manager and Team Leader.
- Work on the development of new components as required.
TIG Welder Job Requirements
- Proven expertise in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steel and titanium.
- Skilled in hand-forming and sheet metal development, particularly in low-volume, prototype, or motorsport environments.
- Comfortable working from verbal briefs and minimal documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing aesthetic, high-integrity welds and components.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
TIG Welder Salary & Benefits
- Full time - Permanent position
- Monday to Friday
- Working hours - 8am - 4pm with 30 mins unpaid lunch (37.5 hours per week).
- Salary - £13.20 per hour
