Overview

Job Title: TIG Welder – Location: Corby, UK – Permanent position.

Salary: £16 per hour (with review and increase to £18 per hour after 3 months). Overtime Pay: £25 per hour (Mon-Sat); £30 per hour (Sundays and Bank Holidays). Call-Out Pay: £100 per call-out. Car driver. Speak good English as visiting Clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG welding on steel and aluminum components for trailers and rigid bodies.
• Work from technical drawings and specifications to execute precise welds.
• Collaborate with fabricators and engineers to meet production goals and client specifications.
• Ensure all welds meet the highest standards of safety and industry compliance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MIG welding equipment as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Driving Licence needed as Van is provided when travelling to Clients sites across the Midlands.
• Proven experience in TIG welding, especially working with steel and aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
• Speak good English as visiting Clients.

Salary & Benefits

• Starting salary: £16 per hour.
• Salary reviewed after 3 months, with an increase to £18 per hour based on performance.
