Overview

Are you ready to make a real difference in people’s lives? Join us as a Band 4 Therapy Technician in the Community Care – Heathlands Rehabilitation Unit, where you’ll work both independently and as part of a supportive team to deliver high-quality rehabilitation, assessment, and care to patients to enable them to return to their own environment.

You’ll play a key role in promoting patient independence, supporting individualised goals, and working closely with registered practitioners and multidisciplinary team to deliver effective treatment programmes.

Responsibilities
  • To work as a proactive member of the team providing a high quality, efficient and effective service to patients.
  • To work autonomously, assuming responsibility for delegated aspects of healthcare delivery, working within a scope of practice under the direction and supervision of a registered practitioner, and within relevant legal and ethical frameworks and organisational protocols.
  • To work with patients within the unit providing assessment, rehabilitation, support and treatment programmes, undertaking home visits as appropriate, and as a trusted assessor for initial and functional assessments as delegated by registered staff.
  • To work with patients either individually or in a group setting.
  • To be proficient, knowledgeable and competent in rehab and functional assessment.
  • To be educated to Foundation Degree, Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care or evidence that you are working towards one of these qualifications.
  • To continue to develop in the role through acquisition of further skills, knowledge and competences, as determined by the needs of patients, the service and the team.
