About Cygnet Hospital Hexham

Cygnet Hospital Hexham is a 27-bed mental health facility for women with complex mental health needs, built to the latest national specifications for improving mental health within a therapeutic environment.

Job Details

Therapy/Activity Coordinator – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 – 17:00.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and implementing therapy programmes.
  • Encourage patients to access and participate in a variety of activities and maintain pre-existing hobbies.
  • Obtain appropriate materials and facilitate safe events and activities.
Qualifications
  • Strong academic or clinical background supporting patient care.
  • Experience or passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities.
  • Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
  • Creative flair and ability to work as part of an inter‑disciplinary team.
