Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse must be NMC or HCPC certified.
  • Experience in a perioperative setting is essential.
  • Desirable to have robotic surgery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient positioning and preparation.
  • Provide immediate post-operative care.
  • Manage clinical area in absence of advanced practitioner.
  • Adhere to supply usage procedures.
  • Collect data on theatre activity accurately.
  • Assess and deliver peri-operative patient care.

Job description

Theatre Scrub Nurse Bank- Maxfacs, HPB, Bariatrics, General, Adult ENT, Orthopaedics and Paediatrics. As a Scrub Nurse/Practitioner you will ensure that we provide the best quality service in a pleasant environment for both staff جذب and patients whilst ensuring that a high quality, cost effective service is delivered to patients and consultant users. You'll work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, being flexible and supporting with shared tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the positioning and preparation of a patient as directed by the surgical team and ensure that any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory.
  • Provide immediate post‑operative care.
  • Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner ensuring patient, visitors and staff safety.
  • Adhere to the procedures for the use of supplies, ordering requirements for the Department as directed by line manager.
  • Ensure the accurate collection of data in relation to theatre activity.
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri‑operative patient care.
  • Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
  • Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified and less experienced staff.
Qualifications
  • NMC Registered Nurse (Adult and/or Children).
  • Alternatively, HCPC registered with a Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
  • Previous perioperative experience.
  • Desirable to have experience in Da Vinci Robotic and liver procedures.
