ROLE TITLE: Test Engineer

LOCATION: Leicester, London or Manchester

The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.

We are actively looking to secure a Test Engineer to join Experis.

Job Purpose / The Role:

This role sits within a high‑profile national transformation programme, working as part of an experienced delivery team to support and enhance the testing of a major central government application.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a high‑profile national transformation programme by supporting the testing of a large‑scale central government application.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand and validate user and system requirements.
  • Define clear, detailed, and accurate test scenarios based on functional and non‑functional requirements.
  • Execute test cases to assess system behaviour, quality, and overall performance.
  • Document test results, identify issues or defects, and track them through to resolution.
  • Work closely with the wider delivery team to refine and improve testing practices and processes.
  • Ensure testing activities support the delivery of a reliable, secure, and high‑quality mission‑critical system.
Your Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years UK residency
  • Experience in Performance Testing
  • Hands‑on experience with Cucumber for automated testing
  • Proficiency in Java
  • Practical experience using JIRA for work tracking and issue management
  • Familiarity with Confluence for documentation and collaboration
