Overview

Test Technician

Near Woking

£35K per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Test Engineer to join a pioneering technology business on Permanent basis. This role offers the chance to be part of cutting-edge projects across electrification, telemetry, control, and analytics.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver test activities, following defined processes and technical documentation
  • Supervise and support test technicians, coordinating tasks where needed
  • Perform test activities during product manufacturing, including electronics assembly inspection
  • Use standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters
  • Fault-find electronic circuits and assemblies to component level
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation to ensure full traceability
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to ISO9001 quality standards
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • ONC, HNC or equivalent in electronics (essential)
  • Strong understanding of relevant IPC standards
  • Experience in high-technology environments
  • Proficiency with test instruments and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good time management and basic PC skills
  • Previous experience in supervising or mentoring others is desirable
