Job description

Proactive Personnel ltd have an immediate requirement for our client based in Telford. We are recruiting for a Test Engineer for a growing manufacturing business.

You will be working closely with the engineering department and completing testing (and validation) of control systems equipment. This can be either onsite in Telford or worldwide.

To be considered for this role, there must be the flexibility to travel worldwide.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Test and validate systems and equipment
  • Commission systems and equipment including Robot AS / PLC)
  • System fault finding and diagnostics
  • Fault rectification
  • Conducting system wide test and inspection
  • Set up in house systems and industrial PC’s.

As part of this role, you will also be required to:

  • Conduct customer training
  • Conduct system servicing
  • Develop Robot and PLC software
  • Modify engineering drawings
  • Support wiring procedures and plans
  • Provide remote customer support.

You must be able to read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings.

  • Hands on experience in building electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Ideally, you will be degree qualified.

£37,000 – £40,000 per annum.
