Qualifications

  • Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of MV/HV systems; PD testing experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret diagnostic data confidently.
  • Comfortable working independently and travelling regularly to customer sites across the UK.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out on-site PD testing and diagnostics on MV/HV equipment.
  • Install, configure, and commission permanent PD monitoring systems.
  • Analyse PD data and produce concise, actionable technical reports.
  • Provide guidance on PD activity, equipment risk, and recommended next steps.
  • Assist in fault investigations to identify causes of insulation deterioration.
  • Work collaboratively with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and best practices.

We are a leading provider of Partial Discharge (PD) testing and monitoring solutions for Medium Voltage and High Voltage (MV/HV) electrical equipment. Our technologies are used worldwide to assess the condition of power cables, switchgear, transformers, motors, and generators operating at 3.3 kV and above. By delivering early‑warning indicators of insulation deterioration, we help operators maintain safe, reliable, and continuously performing power systems throughout the full asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out on‑site PD testing and diagnostics on MV/HV equipment, including cables, switchgear, transformers, motors, and generators.
