Job summary

A leading technology consultancy is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to take ownership of testing activities, lead discussions, and collaborate with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in testing, strong communication skills, and proficiency in both manual and automation testing, especially for Microsoft PowerApps/MS Dynamics 365 applications. This role is primarily remote with occasional travel to Croydon.

Overview

Role: Test engineer
Rate: Inside IR35
Location: Remote with occasional travel to Croydon
Duration: 6 months initially
SC Clearance required

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of testing activities and work independently.
• Lead discussions in stand-ups and collaborate with stakeholders on testing deliverables.
• Analyse and design high-level test cases, test data and test deliverables.
• Contribute to the testing strategy across SDLC and agile environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of testing experience, with the ability to own and work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of leading discussions in stand-ups and working with stakeholders on testing deliverables.
• Proficient in both manual and automation testing; expertise in analysing and designing high-level test cases, test data, and test deliverables.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Extensive experience in testing Microsoft PowerApps/MS Dynamics 365 applications.
• Experience in performing web accessibility testing for applications to ensure WCAG AA compliance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Hands-on development experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Strong understanding of API testing.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience working with ServiceNow.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to produce and review high-quality deliverables.
