WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Prescot, Liverpool. This is a key role where you’ll be instrumental in driving our Automation strategy, informing, designing, and developing our automation framework. This exciting opportunity allows you to genuinely achieve results, drive quality improvements, reduce risk, and significantly improve release speeds by automating repetitive tasks. You will report to the Head of Development / QA.

This position is a hybrid position work 3 days per week in our offices and 2 from home.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

As an experienced Test Automation Engineer, you will develop and implement automated testing solutions for our software products. This will involve working closely with our development and quality assurance teams to create robust automation frameworks and scripts.

ESSENTIAL

• Strong test automation experience
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python or C#
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright and Junit
• Experience with version control systems (e.g Git)
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline would be desirable
