Rate: A GBP 27.21 per hour UMBRELLA PAYE

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Business Systems Delivery team within a leading global automotive manufacturer. As a Test Analyst, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery and adoption of manufacturing execution, quality, and reporting systems. You will coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production Acceptance Testing (PAT) activities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance with governance standards.

You will support various testing phases, utilising test management tools such as HP ALM and Jira to track test results and defects, ensuring the smooth execution of the testing lifecycle. You will engage with stakeholders, manage defects, and contribute to Test Completion Reports.

Key Responsibilities of the Test Analyst
Testing Coordination
  • Facilitate governance readiness sessions to assess the suitability for entering each testing phase (UAT/PAT).
  • Create, execute, and manage manual UAT and PAT test scenarios and scripts, ensuring business requirements are thoroughly tested.
  • Record and track defects, ensuring proper resolution through a standardized defect management process.
  • Use test management tools (primarily HP ALM and occasionally Jira) to capture and report UAT/PAT results, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Engage with stakeholders to support the testing process, providing clear updates on test status and progress.
  • Assist stakeholders who may not be familiar with testing processes, demonstrating the value and benefits of testing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and clarity across testing activities.
Test Reporting And Governance
  • Contribute to or create Test Completion Reports, ensuring they accurately reflect the testing results, defects, and overall quality of the deliverable.
  • Ensure all testing activities are executed with appropriate governance, ensuring compliance with internal processes and standards.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Successful execution and completion of UAT and PAT, meeting business requirements.
  • Effective defect tracking and resolution, with timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Clear, accurate Test Completion Reports that meet governance and quality standards.
  • Smooth engagement with stakeholders, including those unfamiliar with the testing process.
Essential Skills and Experience of the Test Analyst
Experience
  • 5+ years experience in a similar Test Analyst role, including hands-on experience with UAT and PAT processes.
  • Strong experience with HP ALM for test management and Jira (desirable).
  • Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis and data flow testing.
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management:
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to use test management tools (HP ALM, Jira) to document and report on testing activities.
Desirable
Industry Knowledge
  • Experience working in Manufacturing environments is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and their integration with IT systems.
Qualifications
  • ISTQB (or ISEB) Foundation level qualification or equivalent.
