Job summary

A leading technology firm in the United Kingdom is looking for a skilled Test Analyst to support a public sector cloud transition programme. The role involves executing application-level testing, ensuring compliance with clinical safety standards, and working collaboratively across teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing NHS clinical applications and cloud-based environments. This position offers a day rate of £300 to £325 and is hybrid based in Cardiff.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, preparing, and executing application-level test cycles
  • Designing effective test scenarios with application SMEs and third-party suppliers
  • Performing functional, regression, workflow, and integration testing
  • Creating and maintaining test scripts, test data, and test documentation
  • Managing defects through to resolution, including retesting and evidence capture
  • Supporting test summary reporting and traceability matrices
  • Ensuring testing aligns with clinical safety and governance requirements
  • Contributing to a complex, multi-team cloud migration programme

Skills

Proven experience testing NHS or other regulated clinical applications
Strong functional testing experience (regression, workflow, integration)
Experience creating and executing test scripts, scenarios, and test data
Strong defect management, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience testing cloud-based applications (Azure preferred)
Awareness of clinical safety standards (DCB0160 / DCB0129)
Experience supporting large-scale transformation or migration programmes

Job Title: Test Analyst

Industry: Public Sector

Contract Duration: 4-5 months

Location: Cardiff/Hybrid

Day Rate: £300 - £325 per day (Inside IR35)

We are supporting a large-scale public sector Cloud Transition Programme, migrating nationally critical healthcare applications from on-premises data centres into Azure and Google Cloud. So, need a skilled Test Analyst to deliver application-level testing across multiple migration waves, working closely with subject matter experts, suppliers, and programme teams.

The Role
