Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but you may work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12).

Availability Window

Sun 09:00 – 14:00
Mon 13:00 – 18:15
Wed 18:00 – 22:15
Thu 18:00 – 22:15
Fri 17:00 – 22:15

We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give you three weeks’ notice of your exact shifts. We support flexibility—if your available times match closely, we’ll consider you.

You will be responsible for
  • Knowing customers and serving them with passion and pride; offering great natural service
  • Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in the store
  • Working across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required
  • Applying training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly
  • Making decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet their needs on time
  • Participating in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere
  • Being knowledgeable about store performance and helping drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure best condition for customers
  • Living the values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies
  • Accepting deliveries into the store when required
