Job summary

Our Tesco Colleague Rate of Pay

Starting at £12.45 an hour, increasing to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

Working Hours and Flexibility

Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with options for 12 hours if desired.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clean‑as‑you‑go routines using appropriate tools.
  • Keep aisles clear of congestion during replenishment or picking.
  • Work in a tidy and organised manner, removing any equipment that needs cleaning out of use.
  • Follow the warehouse/storage plan, returning items to their correct place.
  • Maintain clean trays for picking, removing dirty trays for cleaning.
  • Replenish products so customers can get what they want, prioritising items that matter most.
  • Track product movement after merchandising activity.
  • Pull stock forward and remove cardboard to improve visibility.
  • Keep the warehouse organised, returning everything to its correct location.
  • Complete stock routines accurately and on time.
  • Pick online customers' shopping accurately, ensuring high quality and freshness, completing substitutions as required.
  • Ensure items picked are of the highest standard of quality with the best possible date for fresh products.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make our store the best it can be for customers.
  • Warmly welcome interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say ‘Thank you’.
  • Act quickly to respond to the changing needs of customers, embracing change within our store.
  • Share ideas with Manager and colleagues on how we can improve our store for customers.
