Qualifications

  • Degree level education or equivalent with formal training in civil engineering.
  • Strong, proven post-graduate experience in the civil engineering industry.
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of BS5975.
  • Experience supervising sub-consultants or subcontractors.
  • Proven experience managing civil or temporary works design.
  • Experience in the design and checking of temporary works.
  • IT Literate (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, CAD).

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate civil and temporary works designs for projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality compliant with client standards.
  • Produce in-house temporary works designs like excavation support and crane platforms.
  • Check design calculations by other engineering colleagues.
  • Collaborate with project teams to align objectives.
  • Assist in the tender process for accurate scope costing.
  • Conduct site visits and maintain safety in designs.

Skills

Degree level education or equivalent in civil engineering
Strong post-graduate experience in civil engineering
Understanding of BS5975
Experience supervising sub-consultants
Management experience of civil or temporary works design
Checking of temporary works design
IT Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD)
