Overview

Looking for a long term temporary school office manager to join as cover from someone off sick.

Senior admin experience needed within a school.

A SEN school based in West Drayton.

Description
  • Administration & Organisation: Oversee daily running of the school office and ensure smooth operations. Manage and maintain accurate school records, databases, and pupil files (including safeguarding-sensitive information). Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation for staff, governors, and external agencies. Handle incoming calls, emails, and enquiries from parents, carers, and outside organisations.
  • Finance & Resources: Assist with school budgets, procurement, and financial record-keeping. Manage petty cash, invoices, and ordering of supplies/resources. Ensure value for money when purchasing and liaise with suppliers/contractors.
  • HR & Staff Support: Maintain staff records, including DBS checks, absences, and training logs. Coordinate staff recruitment administration and induction. Support senior leaders with staff timetables, cover arrangements, and compliance paperwork.
  • SEN-Specific Support: Ensure all documentation relating to EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) and SEN reviews are properly filed and accessible. Support communication between SENCO, parents, and external professionals. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Compliance & Safeguarding: Maintain safeguarding records in line with statutory requirements. Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection policies. Support the Headteacher and DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) with safeguarding admin.
  • School Community & Communication: Act as a first point of contact for parents and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment. Coordinate school communications (letters, newsletters, website updates). Support organisation of meetings, events, and parent consultations.
