Interim Financial Controller

Location: Immingham / Hybrid

Immediate Start approx. 6 months +

Salary: £75/85k

Are you an experienced Financial Controller ready to step into a pivotal role and make an immediate impact? We're seeking a hands‑on Interim Financial Controller to support our business through a period of growth and change. This is an exciting opportunity for a results‑driven professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments and can bring clarity, stability, and strategic insight. Working closely with operations and the existing finance team

Key Responsibilities

Enhance and embed robust financial controls, optimising processes and elevating reporting frameworks to support a high-performance finance function

Lead the design, rollout, and adoption of new finance processes and procedures, driving operational efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across the business

Work within a risk management framework

Deliver clear, commercially focused insights and recommendations to senior leadership, enabling informed strategic decision-making and improved financial performance

Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the finance team throughout the transition period, ensuring stability, capability development, and continuity of operations

Requirements
  • Proven track record as a Senior Financial Accountant/Finance Manager or Financial Controller
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical ability
  • Demonstrable experience in process improvement and implementing new procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and advise stakeholders
  • Ability to operate autonomously and hit the ground running
