Express Recruitment are proud to be supporting a reputable Local Authority who are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Facilities Support Officer to join their friendly Facilities Team. The post holder will support the effective day to day operation of council premises, ensuring buildings are safe, secure and fit for purpose to support service delivery.

You will work to well-defined systems and procedures, providing caretaking and general facilities management support across multiple locations within Sheffield.

  • Provide day to day caretaking and facilities support services, ensuring premises are safe, clean, secure and operational
  • Support operational delivery by assessing facilities requirements and arranging appropriate service provision
  • Communicate effectively with staff, service users, contractors and the public to resolve facilities-related issues
  • Monitor and report Health & Safety concerns, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records using manual and computerised systems, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy
Skills & Experience
  • Experience working in a caretaking, facilities or property-related environment
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints and challenging situations professionally
  • Communication skills, able to explain information clearly to a range of audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take responsibility for own workload
  • Awareness of Health & Safety requirements including manual handling, working at height and safe working practices
