A local governmental body in the United Kingdom seeks a dedicated Housing Options officer responsible for managing temporary accommodation placements and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role will focus on developing strong relationships with stakeholders and dealing with complex client situations. This role is responsible for all processes and matters associated with the Council's Temporary Accommodation Predominantly Bridge Court. The role will also include management of void units working closely with our facilities team to turn units around in a timely manner and assisting the officer in charge with all matters relating to health and safety compliance of the building.
You will be one of our housing teams 'go to' people in all matters relating to Temporary Accommodation placements for Saunderton Lodge. You will provide support to all placements to ensure compliance with licence agreements and support plans. The post holder will work closely with our benefits teams and providers to protect the council financially and with the wider housing team to ensure that placements are appropriate, including undertaking of affordability and suitability assessments.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic person to join our busy and forward‑thinking Housing Options and Supply team in this exciting role. The role is based at Saunderton Lodge, Buckinghamshire Council’s purpose‑built Temporary Accommodation setting. This role is fast‑paced and front‑facing, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their customer commitment and ability to manage and build stakeholder and client relationships effectively to deliver the aims of the role.
