Job description

Express Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-known Local Authority who are currently seeking a Temp Weekend Cook to join their team, working 8:00am-2:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays based in Melton Mowbray. This role will allow you to get involved in food preparation, serving and general kitchen support.

• Prepare and cook a wide range of food items such as sausages, bacon and toasties
• Train on and use several different kitchen appliances including industrial air fryers
• Clean both back-of-house and front-of-house areas, and maintain an outstanding food hygiene rating
• Accept and pack away both consumable and non-consumable deliveries
• Support the team with offering the highest standards of customer service

Skills & Experience

• Available to start as soon as possible, happy to work as part of a small team
• Prior experience of cooking dishes in a similar environment with experience using grills or fryers beneficial but not essential
• Strong drive to professionally develop and take on new responsibilities
• Polite and professional attitude towards work
• Confident and bubbly individual
