A leading energy provider in the UK is seeking a Telecommunications Planning Technician for an 8-month fixed term contract. This role includes assisting Engineers in delivering infrastructure developments and maintaining documentation for the Bearer Network. Candidates should have knowledge of DNO technology, a BTEC Level 3 qualification, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The role of Planning Technician is to support the delivery of infrastructure developments within the Cable and Fibre Planning Team. The role is to assist the Engineers with associated surveys, site visits and supporting documentation to maintain and evolve the current SP ENW Bearer Network and ensure that the Bearer Asset Management within the department is both current and fully documented.
The successful applicant will be expected to work predominantly under the direction of the Bearer Planning Engineers and Delivery Engineers.
Flexibility is paramount with this role as although there will be a predominance of office based work, some travel and site work will be necessary to satisfy the requirements.
