Overview

Position - Technical Service Support Engineer £42k with bonus

Company - Large National M&E provider with a national team of service engineers

Location - Milton Keynes (mainly office/workshop and part field based)

Industry - Commercial HVAC / Air conditioning / Chillers / Refrigerated / Water Cooled Systems

Role

A leading national mechanical engineering provider seeks an experienced Technical Support Engineer to add to their HVAC division. The successful candidate will oversee and support their regional team of service engineers on advanced air conditioning technical queries or problems, primarily VRV / VRF HVAC systems and chillers. This is a hybrid role that is office / workshop and part field based, overseeing a large team of engineers and regional service branches.

Experience Required
  • Extensive hands-on experience servicing, fault finding and repairing HVAC systems and/or chillers.
  • Experience in both field work and coordinating from regional offices; IT literate with excellent organisational and communication skills to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, as the role involves overseeing service engineers from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Refrigeration and air conditioning qualifications, with at least ten years of experience; suitable for overseeing advanced level air conditioning service engineers.
  • Eligible to apply if you have an air conditioning installation background and strong knowledge of the main HVAC manufacturers, not limited to pure service.
The Company

They have a national team of technical service support specialists who oversee regional teams of service engineers and provide guidance on fault finding and fixes for emergencies and planned maintenance (PPMs).

The Package

Starting salary from £38,000 up to £42,000 with bonus (flexible depending on experience). A company van is provided due to the seniority of the role, plus a generous holiday allowance that increases with service, healthcare, pension (over 10% contribution), dental, mobile and laptop.
