A leading facilities management company in the UK is seeking an experienced Technical Supervisor to oversee electrical services at the site. The role includes managing safety checks, maintenance programs, and supervising specialist contractors. Job description
Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Supervisor to manage the electrical services being delivered across the client site. This will include managing the various electrical safety checks, Fixed Wire Testing programme and all the associated LV/HV planned and reactive maintenance plus any project works. This successful candidate will report to the site Contract Manager and take full responsibility for the electrical technical framework and appointments across the plant.

Responsibilities

Managing a number of specialist electrical contractors and liaising with the client to arrange associated maintenance outage windows, you will be the subject matter expert across the plant and support the operational delivery and development of the engineering team.

You must be able to work to high levels of health and safety, understand and be able to work to building statutory requirements and ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.

Person Specification
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent
  • 18th edition IEE wiring regulations
  • Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment including
  • Boiler plant, HVAC, pumps, generators, switchgear, wiring & cabling, Batteries, small power, lighting
  • Be flexible & carry out duties which are not electrically biased
  • Be pro‑active & have the ability to anticipate &/or diagnose & repair faults
  • To communicate with wholesalers to obtain quotations for parts to be ordered to complete tasks
  • Have the ability to supervise (Performing Authority) of site contractors
  • Hold a full clean driving licence
  • Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres & lift weights of up to 25kg
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety & safe working practices
  • Strong customer care focus

  • Computer Literate
  • Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate & timely
